5 Benefits Of Renting A Villa In The Caribbean For Vacation

It’s a great experience to travel and spend your vacation breaks in the Caribbean. However, these vacation trips can also be a burden for your pockets, especially when you rent expensive accommodations. Renting out villas in the Caribbean has been the popular choice for most tourists today. There are lots of villa rentals that you can reserve for your next caribbean vacation.  I had a great experience renting a beautiful beach villa on the island of Nevis. So I decided to write a post that gave you the five top benefits of renting these types of accommodations instead of an expensive hotel room.

You Can Save Money

Renting out a villa will lessen your expenses, especially for bigger groups. You will have more rooms for accommodation and you even have a kitchen to minimize expenses on expensive hotel menus. You can also take advantage of some amazing deals and discounts for longer stays like a week or more. The lower cost for accommodation is one of the main attractions of the tourists to rent a villa than a hotel room, because they can spend their extra money on some outdoor or water activities, such as scuba diving or windsurfing. You don’t have to pay tremendously for a small hotel room, you can choose to rent a villa at a lower price with more amenities to enjoy. Now, that is wise spending on your next trip.

You Can Be More Comfortable

Since a villa is like a home away from home, you can be more comfortable living and sleeping in it than in expensive hotels. Villas also have living room areas, dining, a kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and even a veranda overlooking the sea or the mountains depending on your choice. Some tourists say that it’s like living in your own dream house for the whole vacation period to enjoy. Comfort for their customers is one of the goals of  villa rentals as well as all the other villa rentals in the Caribbean.

Nevis Villa Rentals

You Can Have Privacy

Villas are placed at a good distance against each other to maintain customers’ privacy during their Caribbean vacation. While hotels are also secured and comfortable, villas can offer the most private vacation experience for you and your whole family. There are also villas that are away from the main road and closer to the sea, which can be enjoyed by those who loves the peace and tranquility of nature. If you want a private area to enjoy on your next vacation, you can choose to rent a villa than a hotel room.

You Can Have More Space

Villas have spacious areas that you can unwind and relax. Some luxury villas have their private pools, decks, parking spaces, and a lot more amenities just for you and are not shared with other group of people you don’t even know. You can spend all day on your villa’s own pool and bask in the sun, without being disturbed by strangers. You can definitely have you own space to enjoy your caribbean vacation when you rent a villa.

You Can Have Lots Of Options

On my last trip, I found that the Nevis villa rentals ranged differently in styles. There are one to four bedrooms villa that you can choose from depending on how big your group is having a vacation in the Caribbean. You can also select what amenities you want to have in a villa you’re renting. Location is also another option that you can choose. Whether you want the villa to be beachfront, to have the good view of the mountain, or near the main road, they will recommend some villas that you may consider. Extra services may have extra charges, so be aware of all the fees that you are charged with. You can search online or call the villa rentals for questions, quotations, and reservations for your next vacation.

You can find a comprehensive list of villas online on travel sites including Trip Advisor, Vrbo, Flipkey and other villa rental websites.  I found that it was easier for me to contact a real estate agent.  When planning for my last vacation I contacted a Nevis Real Estate company and there where able to secure a nice luxury property for me.  It was one of the best decision I have made and look forward to renting properties such as this on my future vacations.

The next time you’re planning to have a vacation in the Caribbean, make sure that you have reserved a villa for rent to save money, for comfort, for privacy, for more space, and for more options to choose from. It’s good to book ahead of time in your most loved villa for rent, because villa rentals are usually full of reservations and bookings from tourists around the world. Experience the best caribbean vacation that you’ve never experienced before with the help of these lovely villas for rent and enjoy to be more satisfied with the nature at its fullest.

Remote Tropical Islands in the Caribbean

If you are looking to truly get away from it all, the Caribbean Islands are the perfect place to do just that. But if you want to avoid the typical overcrowded tourist destinations and head to a quieter remote tropical island, here are four places you will want to consider.

Nature-lovers will love hiking the Waitukubuli National Trail exploring the lush valleys, dense rainforests, and towering mountains of Dominica. There are no chain resorts on the island and very limited nightlife. In fact, there is little commercial development at all. Dominica is the perfect place for the eco-tourist who just wants to enjoy the pristine beauty of nature in its purest form.

Activities on the island include hiking, biking, snorkeling and diving. You may want to consider mailing your gear to the hotel ahead of your arrival as renting equipment in Dominica can be quite pricey.

Isla de la Juventud (Isle of Youth) – Cuba

Come adventure pirate-style on this tropical island where the books Treasure Island and Peter Pan were written. Sunken ships and exotic coral make scuba-diving the most popular activity of choice here.

Both Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson and Peter Pan by James Matthew Barrie are rooted, in part, on accounts of Isla de la Juventud and its native and pirate inhabitants. A place for escape artists and adventure types alike, the storied isle has ample opportunities for getting way off the beaten track. Its southern section is a playground of largely undiscovered wilderness while the southwestern part near Punta Frances is known for its world-class scuba diving. Look hard enough and you might just find a hidden treasure.

Buck Island, St. Croix – U.S. Virgin Islands

Buck Island preserves one of the best Caribbean marine garden habitats. The island closes down at sunset and reopens at sunrise to protect nesting sea turtles that reside there. Endangered creatures such as a family of hawksbill turtles and brown pelicans are protected here. The island is mostly surrounded by a thick elk horn barrier reef. Over 250 species of fish reside in the underwater depths.

The only way to get to Buck Island in St. Croix is by boat. Relax on the beach or enjoy the main activities of hiking, scuba diving and underwater snorkeling offered on the island.

Anegada, British Virgin Islands

Secluded white sand beaches seem to stretch on indefinitely on this tropical island surrounded by striking coral reefs. Snorkelers can explore the underwater depths with amazing mazes, tunnels and drops throughout the coral reefs. On land, visitors can enjoy a variety of water sports and bone fishing.

Discover the rich history of the local culture by exploring wreckages of numerous Spanish galleons, American privateers and British warships. Weave your way through a stone wall maze surrounding the Main Town’s Settlement, or through the Arawak’s ancient conch burial mounds in the East End.

For those who want to escape the expensive mass-tourism destinations without sacrificing quality, these choices will be sure to delight you. Explore underwater treasures, exotic cultures and majestic scenery in one of the most beautiful paradises on Earth. You’ll be glad you came.

Becoming a Citizen of St. Kitts and Nevis

On our last visit to the lovely country of St Kitts and Nevis we couldn’t help but fall in love with islands over and over again.  We started seriously considering choosing St Kitts and Nevis as our destination for a second home.   We immediately found a local real estate agent to inquire about the red tape involved in purchasing a home then when we found out there are some huge benefits of choosing this lovely country as our second home.

Did you know that St. Kitts and Nevis is one of only two countries in the world that offers citizenship by investment? Individuals from around the world have already taken advantage of this, either to settle in the country on a permanent basis, or to use the island nation as a second home. With beautiful beaches, a rich cultural history, and a number of real estate opportunities, there are endless benefits in becoming a Kittian – as long as you are willing to stump up the cash in order to do so.

We were absolutely ecstatic about the possibility of transitioning from frequent visitors to full pledged Saint Kitts and Nevis citizens.  With the help of our agent we were able to collect important information for those who are seriously thinking about pursing dual citizenship outside of the United States.  St Kitts and Nevis is one of the best option out there for a second citizenship.  Let’s explore the program:

economic-citizenship-st-kitts-nevisWhat is the Sugar Industry Diversification Fund?

The Sugar Industry Diversification Fund, or SIDF, is a program that provides financial assistance to sugar workers who have retired or become displaced. By making a contribution to the fund, you may be able to gain citizenship in the country, as well as a second passport. You won’t necessarily need to call the island nation your permanent home, but if you do decide to move to the country, you will be able to take advantage of many of the benefits that people who were born in the country currently enjoy, such as access to work opportunities and education. Applying for st kitts & nevis citizenship doesn’t even require you to visit the country beforehand, although it’s always a good idea to do so to familiarize yourself with the local culture and customs.

What are the other benefits in becoming a citizen of St. Kitts and Nevis?

Once you become a citizen, you will qualify for visa-free travel to many countries around the world. These include all countries in the European Union, such as the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, Ireland, and France, as well as Canada and Switzerland. The country can be accessed from cities around the world, such as Miami in Florida which is a short plane journey away. Other cities with non-stop flights include New York City, and San Juan in Puerto Rico. Your investment will be refunded if the government of St. Kitts and Nevis reject your application, although this won’t necessarily include the application fees you would have already paid, so make sure you understand the full process before deciding to become a citizen. Another thing to bear in mind – the country doesn’t currently offer citizenship to individuals who were born in Afghanistan or Iran.

What do I need to bear in mind when making my application?

The application for citizenship can often be a long process, and will usually take up to six months before you are given a decision. You will also need to plan effectively ahead of time, sourcing the important documentation that will be needed to further your application, which could take several more weeks. Some of the things you will need include a medical certificate, marriage certificate, police clearance certificate, and two reference letters from someone working as a chartered accountant, banker or lawyer. These documents will need to be in English and are not accepted if they are older than three months. For more information on the full application process, refer to the official website of the country’s government.

How can I become a citizen by purchasing real estate?

Purchasing St Kitts real estate is the second way to become a citizen of the country, and the process is different from becoming a citizen by investment. You will need to invest at least $400,000 in property, which exceeds the minimum of $250,000 when making a financial contribution to the government. However, you will be able to sell your property after five years has passed. As becoming a citizen of the country can work out to be expensive, applying for citizenship by investment or by purchasing property is popular among individuals who have a substantial amount of income or wealth.

What other fees are involved in becoming a citizen?

There are a number of other costs involved in the process, although the amount you will need to pay will depend on how many people are applying to become a citizen. A spouse and children under the age of 18 will be included on the original application for citizenship, but any children over the age of 18 will be subject to an additional fee of $50,000.

Apply for a st kitts and nevis economic citizenship is definitely on our to-do list this year!

Our Caribbean Adventure: Where is Nevis ?

Nevis is one of the islands found in the Caribbean Sea that form the leeward island arc. Nevis is a Small Island of about 93 square kilometers and serves as the capital of Charlestown. The small island if found along the northern end of the lesser Antilles archipelago, south east of the famous Puerto Rico. The island of Nevis together with the island of saint Kitts forms the Saint Kitts and Nevis federation.

The island of Nevis has a conical shape and is characterized by Nevis peak which is at its centre at its centre. The tiny island has some beautiful sandy beaches which has a mixture of both black and white sand. The sand is believed to have been a product of the volcanic eruptions in the nearby volcanic rocks. The island also has few freshwater springs and volcanic hot springs.

The word Nevis was derived from a Spanish word which translates to our lady of the snows. The history of the island dates back to the 18th century when British settlers planted sugarcane of the island. They had named the island as the sweet island because of its high quality sugarcane. Earlier before the British settler arrived the island was known as the land of beautiful waters and was mainly settled by the Caribs and the dulcina.

The island has some historical connections to the Americans because it is believed that Alexander Hamilton was born and it is where he spent his early childhood life. The island is less populated having a total population of just 12000 citizens. Most of the residents of the island are of the African descent, this being as a result of the African slaves who were brought from Africa to work in the sugar plantations.

Nevis is a perfect destination for those people who just want some relaxation or romantic couples going for honey moon or anniversary trips or wedding engagements. Some of the things you can engage in while on the island include, hiking, boat riding, golfing on the beach and engaging in goat and pig roasting which is common on the island.

Visiting Eastern Canada

Our group made a different trip this year and we decided we were going to visit the Eastern part of Canada. Upon landing at the Halifax airport we proceeded to the rental car desk and got the best reception ever. We got our car and drove into the city of Halifax and found our accommodations. We stayed with a local couple in the basement of their house. The house was this old style from the 1800’s and the people were dressed like from Anne of Green Gables. Later in the evening we walked the water front of Halifax Harbour. We were amazed by the museum of ships here and all the good seafood restaurants. Tonight for dinner we indulged in some lobster at one of the finest restaurants in town. Served in the best Canadian style of hospitality ever. The people so far we found on this part of the country are very warm and inviting.

The next day we did a road trip around to a few sites in the area. One main attraction was Peggy’s Cove, a lighthouse that is a postal office on a rock. I found this to be the most amazing thing I have ever seen. My other half wanted to go swimming by the rocks, but water seem way to cold today.

Our next stop was to Prince Edward Island to city of Charlottetown. Here we found the best ice cream in the world. A place called Cow’s Ice cream located by the dock. They had so many flavours that I had to go back for more after my first cone. We ate supper of lobster at Myron’s Place in the downtown core, very amazing. We walked around the entertainment area of the city and found many nice Irish pubs playing live celtic music at all hours of the night.

Our last stop of the east part of Canada was to St.John’s in province of Newfoundland. This seem to be my most favourite area. I visited Signal Hill where the first communications across the ocean was done. Also visited the most eastern point in all of Canada. People here are different and talk like from another country. I loved the charm of this city and found great nightlife on George Street. The entertainment in this area was so amazing, I could come back for more. We took at a nice kayak tour at Cape Broyle on our last day where we say many whales and caves in the water.

I have visited many parts of Canada and I find the east coast the most amazing part of it all. I would recommend anyone to visit any day.

My First Time at a Nude Beach on Vacation

First Timers guide to nude beaches around the world

I recall my first journey to a nude sandy shore. I was dwelling in Auckland, New Zealand at the time and decided to go for a run along the beachfront of St. Helier’s Bay. Having only been in New Zealand for a few weeks at that point, my sense of exploration was strong. I discovered myself roaming about at every corner in seek of something new to do.

On my run, I came across a signal  that read “Ladies Bay.” That rang out like my kind of location, and the maze of steps and ramps that hugged the cliff looked intriguing to me. So I strolled down and I discovered myself on a attractive little slice of isolated sandy shore. Clear waters, views of Rangitoto in the distance, seashells entwined with sand pebbles, palm trees.  Not a single soul was on the beach apart from myself, so I claimed this as my new personal haven and personal sandy shore.

A few weeks later, the sun was shining a little more powerful and my pasty skin was pleading for a beach day. I packed my magazines, sunscreen, midday meal and towel and made the trek over to my sanctuary. I made my way down the staircase and selected a spot on the beach and settled into the sand. I heard a rustle in the bushes behind me and chalked it up to some sort of beach animal and put on my headphones on and continued to relax.

I eventually dosed off and I was awoken by some rustling in the bushes behind me.  I stood up and took a good look over the bushes only to discove a huddle of people sunbathing together.  They were an elderly bunch but their skin was beautifully bronzed, and I was so envious. That is until one of them stood up and headed towards the water.  The elderly man was totally NUDE!  I was in total shock.

At first I considered that this man’s age may have been the reason for him ignoring his bathing trunks but then I recognized that I was the only one on the beach overdressed. My personal little isolated beach quickly turned into a gathering of human genitalia.

As I watched the parade of tourist sunbathing, I realized that they seemed quite free and easy going.  There was something so liberating about walking around the nude.  After all this was a vacation, who cares?  My started to feel more at ease, even comfortable with this lifestyle and I finally decided to try it.  Since that day every country I visit I always seek out these beaches.

For all the first timers out there who desire to proceed to a nude beach (intentionally), there are a couple of things that you can do before-hand to arrange yourself for this open know-how.

Do your research. If full nudity is a bit threatening for you, find a beach that is topless only. Sure, the women are the only ones who are revealing more than usual, but it is a good first step if you want to ease yourself into it.   Also, some nudist sandy shores only permit nudity in certain area. This can help you avoid inappropriately showing it all to the little children that may be around.

Bring sunglasses, particularly dark ones. One time I went to a nude beach with a friend who could not stop staring! Sunglasses will help you to stare incognito if you don’t desire every person knowing you can’t stop looking at their family jewels. Sunscreen is also absolutely vital. We are trying to eliminate tan lines, not paint our privates bright pink.

Arrange yourself for the experience. Make sure you groom your privates by shaving or waxing.  This is a good idea for you if you plan on proceeding au naturel. Just be sure to allow a day or two in between ridding yourself of body hair and jumping into the salt water. You know how new cuts bite in the ocean? Well, identical proceeds for freshly cut off or waxed body parts. Ouch.

As with any position, if you ever seem uncomfortable, especially in a foreign place, eliminate yourself from the natural environment. Nude beaches are adequately monitored and protected for the most part, but it is habitually wise to be cognizant of your enclosures.

Where to find nude beaches while on vacation

Now that you understand how to handle yourself at a nude beach, you must now decide where to go. There are several kinds of nude sandy shores: on the ocean, at the inn, lakeside. Of course there are the warm spots in Brazil, France and Spain. You can also head to the less populated nude sandy shores elsewhere. Below you will find a list of some of the best nude beaches over the world that I have visited while on vacation.

  • Brazil
Praia Do Pinho in Santa Caterina is a nude beach where nudity is needed. This is not for amateurs.  The world famous Copacabana sandy shore in Rio de Janeiro only hosts partial nudity, sustaining its family-friendly atmosphere. Abrico sandy shore had a nudity ostracize which was lifted in 2003. Since then, a naturalist action has made certain that they never proceed back.
  • France
Plage de Tahiti in St. Tropez has a camera ostracise. So be certain to take some grave mental pictures! Euronat is a amazingly family-friendly, and nude, beach. Les Grottes Plage has restaurants in the area that permit nude diners! Leucate Plage is known for its naturalist community.
  • Spain
Cavallet sandy shore in Ibiza is the nearest sandy shore to the town, and its party air is contagious.  Playa d’en Bossa in Ibiza is the largest sandy shore in the area, with a gigantic party air to match. Costa Natura in Estepona comes entire with a holiday resort and outlook of Morocco. Playa de Maspalomas on the Canary isles is known for being super clean, therefore a flawless location to let it all suspend out.  Vera Playa is arguably the nude capital of Spain, so it’s decisively a mistake to miss out. Playa de Illetes is there when you need to take a break from the partying in Ibiza, or take a break from wearing apparel.
  • USA

South sandy shore, Miami is likely the most famous nude sandy shore in the States. anticipate many of partying and beautiful people. Miami furthermore has a lesser nude beach, appropriately named Little Beach. Who’s to say what the phrase little is actually mentioning to?

Black’s Beach in San Diego is the biggest nude sandy shore in the entire homeland.

Gunnison sandy shore in Sandy Hook, New Jersey. Not certain what is left of this sandy shore after Hurricane Sandy barreled through in October 2012.

Haulover sandy shore in Florida is yet another Miami nude sandy shore. I marvel if the lifeguards have to abide by the dress cipher as well?

Las Vegas has several nude “beaches” at inns and casinos, including Moorea sandy shore at Mandalay Bay holiday resort and Casino, Bare Pool Lounge and TAO.

Lighthouse sandy shore on Fire Island, New York is the most famous clothing-optional beach in the Empire State.

Hobe Sound sandy shore on Jupiter Island, Florida. whereas not officially a nude sandy shore, it is allowed here, and its privacy makes it a peak choose for those looking to relax on the sandy shore naked.

  • Greece

Paradise sandy shore in Mykonos is just that. Paradise. Plakias sandy shore in Crete is a great location for scuba diving. Nude scuba? I’m in.

The appropriately entitled Banana Beach. It’s entitled after the form and color of the beach! What did you think I intended?

Red sandy shore in Crete. Hopefully the title is not an sign of what will happen to your skin.

  • Australia and New ZealandYou can visit my personal favorite beach in Auckland, New Zealand. Don’t anticipate a juvenile crowd (or a crowd at all for that matter.) Swanbourne sandy shore in Perth, Australia is the only nude beach in the city. It is furthermore mindfully located beside a shooting variety.Uretiti sandy shore in Northland, New Zealand. I wonder where they came up with that title.

Samurai sandy shore holiday resort in Australia. I am not so certain if there are any samurai swords at this beach, so be careful with your prized cargo.

  • Caribbean
Saline Beach on St. Barth. This sandy shore is on the sea and isolated from the rest of the isle.
Orient Bay Beach in St. Martin boasts abounding of natural attractiveness. I’m talking about the countryside!

Oregon is more than just forests

Most people think that there is nothing to do in Oregon. Just a boring state that nobody really cares about, right? Wrong! You are wrong if you think that.

Oregon is a beautiful state where you can just escape from your stressful life. Oregon is home to Crater Lake, OMSI, the Gilbert House, and the Oregon coasts are a wonder that everybody should see. If you don’t mind putting up with a little rain, I know you will enjoy Oregon.

It also has the Multanomah Falls, Wildlife Safari, and the Ashland plays are to die for. The Ashland plays are pure masterpieces. You can hunt and fish or just take a relaxing stroll on the beach. In the winter time, you need to visit Diamond Lake. It is absolutely beautiful. You can go snowmobiling, take walks in the snow, or hang out in the lodge and sip hot chocolate.

The dunes on the Oregon coast is a place where every ATV rider should visit. Sandboarding is another great activity to do on the dunes. Oregon may not be a very popular state (th ere is only about 3 million people here), but it is a drop dead gorgeous state with so much to do!

You will never be bored in Oregon.
